Brisbane Mother of Four - Carina Glanville When reading about an African woman who gave birth in a tree during a flood, Carina Glanville was inspired, and reminded of the sacred power and wisdom of women. Carina has had an amazing journey into motherhood with 4 children each having a different birth experience. Her first, an emergency caesarean, began her journey of personal exploration of her own power. Determined to have natural births to follow, Carina realised she could only achieve this by working through her own beliefs shrouded in fear and distrust and transform them into a deep faith in the sacred wisdom women innately possess. Her second birth was triumphant, so much so her birth video has toured the world with renowned midwife Lynne Staff, as an example of how faith in a woman’s ability can influence her chances of a natural, healthy birth experience. To complete her journey, her fourth baby was born at home in her bedroom in Samford Valley Brisbane with her 6 year old daughter there to share the joy of this wondrous event. It is her passion and her experience that has given rise to these wonderfully inspirational cards.Carina Glanville’s greatest achievement is surviving the early days of motherhood and now celebrating life as a mother of four children under 7 years old. Mollie (7 yrs), Phoenix (5 yrs), Kaelan (3 yrs) and Jordy (18 months) are her greatest teachers and the lessons are in appreciating the simplicity that life has to offer, surrendering to each day as it comes and building relationships with different personalities (some who seem to have multiple personalities!!).In life before children, Carina earned a Bachelor of International Business and built a business with her actor/director husband. The Australian Acting Academy now boasts 40 classes as well as workshops, and camps for inspiring young people through the performing arts. In 2005/06 Carina contributed articles to the quarterly, national Natural Parenting Magazine for a column exploring the ways women from different cultures birth and parent. Carina has a passion for helping Mums and Dads discover their own style of parenting so they can love and nurture their children with confidence and ease.
